Kew's the Word
It’s been several years now that we’ve been lucky enough to work with Kew Gardens. We’ve got metalwork in the newly renovated Palm House and have make the centrepieces for the last three Orchid Festivals held in the Princess of Wales Conservatory. Kew has a special place in all the Moore’s hearts and it’s a favourite venue for a birthday outing and has been since our boys were tiny.
Our piece for last year’s Orchid Festival was our most ambitious to date, the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace a floating palace in Thailand. It had a steel frame which we clad in wood, carving exotic details on every surface. Painted gold and adorned with sumptuous orchids, it definitely looked fit for royalty.
Colombia’s vibrant culture and biodiversity is the theme for next year’s festival. We’re working on several pieces to help make the event truly unforgettable.
